Mercury- Hot n' Cold!

Mercury

Type of Planet: Terrestrial

What Should I Pack? Be prepared for a wild ride of hot n' cold! This metal and silicate material planets temperatures are above and below the charts.  Because Mercury is so close to the sun, its temperature can go from -300 degrees F at night to reaching 840 degrees F during the day. You won't be able to experience that anywhere else but here!

What if I Move There: You would experience something much different then what you experience here on Earth. A day on Mercury is equal to 58 Earth days, to me, that's quite a long day! However, a year is equal to 88 Earth days. Things are much different over there!

What to see! While you're on this Planet be sure to check out it's cool attractions! Mercury has one of the largest known craters, called the Caloris Basin. Also check out the evening and morning star that comes out as the sun rises and sets. It's quite a view.

Other things to know: Mercury was one of the five planets known by the ancients. They called it the "wandering star". Mercury also has no moons, so while you're there don't be surprised if you don't see one.
